They just keep on growing!
Tell me they don't always stay this ugly, please? Faces only a mother could love. On day 7, we got a fifth chick hatching out. He's small, and very, very weak. That's probably why he took so long to come out Didn't Marvin the Martian have a pet that looked like this?
The fifth chick is now pretty much dead. It still squirms a bit when you poke it, but it can't move beyond that and won't open They just keep on growing! Remember a few days ago when I said he was huge? I take it back - now this is huge! I think this one is going to be a velociraptor.
Check out the tail. They are turning into a literal handful. You can feel incredible heat pouring off of these guys. You can see the forerunners of the crests on the oldest couple. And is that a cheek patch?
