On the second day, a second egg hatched.
Luna guards her eggs with hisses and lunges. Laura listens to the eggs making little peeping noises. The first baby was born on 02 Mar 01.
The first little baby looking about the size of the egg he came out of.
On the second day, a second egg hatched. And then a third one hatched, later that same day. All three sleeping in a lump. Kind of look like chunks of raw liver rolled up in corn meal, don't they? Day 3, and now we have four babies.
At this point we thought we had all the hatchings we were going to get. Now we just hold on and hope that Luna can keep them all fed, since Piper refuses to pitch in. Notice the quarter placed to give you some scale. More of the same.
